Social Events

The social events of the congress are designed to foster networking among participants in a relaxed environment, combining academic exchange with unique cultural experiences. Throughout the program, attendees will enjoy activities that reflect the tradition and hospitality of Asturias.

Wednesday, October 8 – Guided Tour and Welcome Cocktail

The opening day of the congress will include a guided tour of the Museum of the People of Asturias, where attendees can learn about the history, traditional architecture, and customs of the region. This open-air space, located next to the Piles River, offers a journey through Asturian identity via its buildings and ethnographic exhibitions.

After the tour, the welcome cocktail will take place, featuring a traditional Asturian espicha, where attendees will have the chance to taste typical products from the region, such as cider. An espicha is a traditional festive gathering that reflects the welcoming and joyful spirit of the Asturian people.

Thursday, October 9 – Gala Dinner

The second day of the congress will culminate with the Gala Dinner, held at the Restaurant Bellavista in Gijón, one of the city's most iconic dining venues, with views of the Cantabrian Sea.

The event will feature a carefully selected menu with products from Asturian cuisine. It will be a perfect opportunity to celebrate the gathering of professionals, share experiences, and enjoy an unforgettable evening in an elegant and welcoming setting.
